Meanwhile in Sarah Brady Paradise: Home Made Gun edition

So what are the gun grabbers going to say about this? Handguns are banned, so a guy goes and makes his own!

A gun enthusiast who made a hand-crafted weapon from pieces of wood and metal and then fired it inside his neighbour’s flat has been jailed for five years.
Trevor Cracknell, 48, had been invited round for a cup of tea by his neighbour in their block of apartments when he fired the weapon at a bedroom wall.


So handguns are banned but some tool built one out of metal tubing and wood. It looks very much like it was built by a cargo cult attempting to build a gun from a description in a fireside story. (Seriously, click the link. The photo is worth it)

Said police

"However, he successfully discharged it in a neighbour’s bedroom. Thankfully there was only a scorch mark on a wall. It was more good luck than judgement this did not result in a serious injury, or even a fatality.”

The cat is out of the bag. You can no more ban guns than you can ban sunshine. You can keep people away from them both by locking them in a dungeon, but that’s hardly a way to run a country. Not that this stops them from trying.
