Meanwhile in Rebecca Peters Paradise: Gun in the Face, Shot in the Foot edition

In another case of Australian Knock-Knock Bang-Bang, an apparently “random and isolated” attack against a citizen.

The victim of an alleged shooting in Braddon has told of opening his door to find a gun pointed in his face in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A group of men had tried to force their way into the Allawah Court apartment, near the Canberra Centre in Braddon.
When the occupant barricaded the door, one of the men allegedly fired a shot through the door just below kneecap level, slightly injuring the victim's left foot.

It’s almost like gun control is entirely ineffective no matter how hard you try it.

I’m not surprised. I wonder why they are.
