Father gets life sentence for accidentally killing man during dispute

Now read how it all went down.

At one point, according to prosecutors, the younger (Suspect 2) reached for a black bag in the back of the car near where his sister was sitting.

(Suspect 1’s Daughter), her brother and father had been traveling around together looking for Johnson.

The elder (Suspect 1) pulled his son's hand back from the bag. Then (Suspect 1)., prosecutors said, reached back into the bag, pulled out a semi-automatic and pointed it past his son's head toward the driver's seat of a car where Johnson was.

The bullet, according to prosecutors, went through Johnson's arm and into Ellison, fatally wounding him.

Ellison, a popular Knightdale teen who was born with no fingers and no toes, was an innocent victim, both prosecutors and defense attorneys said.

That’s not an accident. He may not have intended to kill the particular person he killed, but that is not an accident. He shot at one person, hit him, but killed another. That’s Murder. And that’s what he plead guilty to.

Life in prison should put the kibosh on him killing any more people “accidentally.”
