Woman shoots and kills home invader in Charlotte

So what do you do when a pair of uninvited guests force their way into your home at 9:30 am?

A woman shot and killed one of two men who forced their way into her house Friday morning in an apparent botched home invasion and robbery, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say.

But maybe they were simply in the wrong home!

A witness told police that two armed men walked up to a vehicle parked in the driveway of the home and forced the male occupant into the house, where they began beating him. Police say when the female resident of the house saw what was happening, she fired at the two men, killing one of them. His body was found by officers inside the home.


The dead man, and his fleeing accomplice, have not yet been identified. Anyone want to bet that they both belong in the “Felons Behaving Badly” category?

Good shooting, Ma’am. Anyone who forces a man into a house and beats him up deserves a bullet.

  1. Too bad she didn't get them both. The survivor, if caught, will probably get times served. Our catch and release justice system is a joke. If they had been sticking to the sentences given, the mass shooter in Michigan would have been in prison. I hope that's a big comfort to the families of the seven people he murdered.

  2. @Robert Fowler: It would have been nice if she had shot them both, but I will just have to be happy that she got one. Good riddance.

    It's embarrassing that we keep letting these people free to prey on more people like that.
