Why would you want to carry a gun on a playground?

Playgrounds are peaceful places filled with children. Why would anyone want to violate the sanctity of a playground by bringing a gun?

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Four people are being recognized for helping children who were attacked by two dogs at a Savannah playground this month.

Authorities say one dog bit 7-year-old Javon Roberson's face with such ferocity that people who came to his aid had to use bricks to beat the animal unconscious so it would release its jaws from the child's head.
Authorities say the other dog went after other children who tried to escape by climbing up a slide.
The bystanders chased that dog away by hitting it with bricks and firing a gun at it.

Carry your gun. It’s a lighter burden than spending the rest of your life reliving the sight of small children being ripped apart by vicious dogs.
