What can you say about this one, really?

So you’re awaiting trial for murder, what makes this sound like a good idea?

Authorities say a man awaiting trial on a murder charge in Robeson County hog-tied his 14-year-old cousin, stole two guns and his uncle's truck, and then led lawmen on a high-speed chase Friday afternoon.

This sounds like a person to be avoided at all costs. I wonder what led to all of this

(Suspect) is awaiting trial on a charge of first-degree murder in the June 25, 2008, death of 23-year-old Daniel Bullard, who was shot dead in his Shannon home during a home-invasion robbery. Authorities allege (Suspect) is one of four masked men who stormed the home in a robbery attempt.

(Suspect), who was 16 at the time, was booked in the Robeson County Jail with bail set at $1 million, but he was later released on house arrest to await trial.

"He's been locked up for years," said his uncle, 34-year-old Ernest Locklear. "He just got out about a month and a half ago."

So I think what he’s trying to say is that letting him out a month and a half ago wasn’t the best idea anyone ever had.

At least his uncle is the forgiving type.

Asked if he would have expected such behavior from Jones, Locklear said, "He's 19. You know how young boys is."

Somehow I don’t think that either my father or any of my uncles would consider kidnapping, robbery, running from the cops and crashing a stolen car to be a “boys will be boys” type of situation. More like a “You cops better keep him in jail, because if I get a hold of him….”

I wonder if that attitude had anything to do with the fact that I avoided doing stuff like this.
