So let me get this straight. A “sculpture” of a little boy in a kiddie park was missing an arm. So someone sneaks out there and welds on a new arm, plus one of those ridiculous Arnold Schwarzenegger mini-guns, on to the damaged statute. And that’s “Vandalism?”
OMG! GUNZ! Gunz R baad m’Kay.
As you would expect, some busybody duchebag cried and whined about it.
Oh, horrors! My charming little park has been sullied with an EBIL GUN!
If I lived in Seattle, I’d track that cop down and kiss him. Well, shake his hand at least. Maybe we can talk Joe Huffman into finding him and thanking him for us.
But don’t worry, haters. The Parks Department swung into action and chopped off the offending “machine gun.”
By far the best comment on the whole thing comes from the person claiming to be the rogue artist, in a letter to Wallyhood.org
Read the whole thing, including the comments. It’s hilarious. From those same comments we find that
I don’t even know what to say. This kiddie park sculpture used to have a sword. Some a-hole ripped off the old arm (and sword) and it’s been sitting there, sans arm. A guy comes in, adds a silly “machine gun” and some old bag whines and cries and bleats and moans until Parks and Rec comes by and slices the whole thing off.
It pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the anti-gun mindset, doesn’t it?

Poor Jeanne. She took all those classes from those 60's professors, who had all those great stories about mocking The Man, back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThey never told her that SHE was The Man, and mockery is still an effective form of art.
Borepatch: That's true. I hope that by the time all is said and done she is thoroughly mocked to the point she learns her lesson. Of course she is probably obtuse enough that she will never learn.

ReplyDelete@McThag, I would be happy to fly out and take some photos, but I don't have the money. Feel free to hit the tip jar.
