Two sex offenders have very bad days

Two sex offenders were charged with failure to report address changes, but that’s not the interesting part.

(Suspect 1) appeared in court Friday on charges of Sex Offender Use of a Social Networking website. Lincoln County deputies say (Suspect 1) was arrested last Oct. 28 for accessing Facebook. He was sentenced Friday to six to eight months in prison, then charged with Failure to Notify Change of Address for a Sex Offender, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

I wonder what he planned on using that gun for?

So if we can’t keep guns away from thieving, drug using child molesters, who can we keep them away from?

Gun control works so well, doesn’t it?

The other guy has an equally interesting story. He got shot by a former girlfriend

(Suspect 2/Shooting victim) had been doing some maintenance work at (Suspect 3)’s home and made sexual advances toward her, according to a release by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The two had an ongoing relationship for several years, the release said.
On Friday night, (Suspect 3) allegedly told (Suspect 2/Shooting victim) to leave because she felt threatened and fired shots from the pistol, according to police. (Suspect 2/Shooting victim) was hit by one round in the stomach and transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Lincoln County where he was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

I think that “several years” might be a bit of an overstatement as our shot sex offender was only released from prison a little over a year ago for failing to register the last time. Unless she stuck by her man for more than 2 years while he was in the pokey, I suspect that it hasn’t been a relationship of long standing.

And given his status as a convicted car thieving kidnapper and rapist and her lack of a conviction record, I’m inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt here.
