Here’s one I don’t understand. Why is it that no matter how stupid the mother, the death of the child is always blamed on the man?
So mom is living in a hotel with 2 year old baby. Her boyfriend is a registered sex offender. She leaves the child in the care of Mr. Registered Sex Offender and goes to work. Baby mysteriously dies. So far, no way to show that she died due to anything her babysitter did or didn’t do, but he still gets in trouble for failing to change his address and with babysitting a child while being a sex offender.
Absent in the story was anything at all about the mom, especially any indication as to why she was living in a hotel instead of an apartment, and why she was living with a sex offender. So let’s go to the State’s database
Oh! That puts a different spin on things, doesn’t it?
In the end, it may turn out that the child died of something that wasn’t either person’s fault. But there’s no excuse for the mother (Still on probation!) placing her child in the care of someone who was legally barred from being around children.

If Mom knew he was a sex offender I could see blaming her--but I'll guess that she didn't run a background check. According to comments on one of the stories, TV said the girl's head was bruised and swollen. If that is true, natural causes looks unlikely.
ReplyDelete@Sevesteen: have you noticed that women seem to be pretty good at determining how good of a man they can get? She couldn't possibly have not known that he was a multiple criminal offender.She certainly knew he wasn't a choirboy.
