Remember, according to the Duluth Model, men are the aggressors in domestic violence

Remember our first discussion of the sexist Duluth Model of domestic violence, men are always the perpetrators of domestic violence and women always the victim. So how do you explain this?

A 25-year-old North Carolina man was stabbed to death early Monday morning at the Tioga Hotel in downtown Merced — and the victim's wife is behind bars on suspicion of murder.

I know, one incident does not disprove the theory. But in Merced County, it appears that they are running 50-50

The death is the fourth fatal domestic incident reported in less than a year in Merced County,
(Suspect 1), 41, was arrested in September for allegedly killing his wife, elementary school teacher (Victim 1), in Merced.
([Female]Suspect 2), 42, was also arrested in September for allegedly stabbing 44-year-old ([Male]Victim 2) to death.
In October, 48-year-old (Suspect 3) took the life his his wife, 44-year-old (Victim 3), with a single shot to the head. He then turned the gun on himself.

No doubt some will still find a way to blame the men for their own deaths.

  2. When I first started my duty as a police officer, I was not surprised to find men abusing the women in their life. The big surprise was that women abuse men is about equal numbers. It is simply not reported or glossed over.
