A person who will steal from you has no respect for your life either


Stealing copper?

Authorities accused a Raleigh man of running a Wake deputy's car off the road Monday while trying to escape arrest, according to arrest warrants.
(Suspect), 27, 2305 Golden Ave., has been charged with fleeing and eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, resisting a public officer and reckless driving to endanger.
According to arrest warrants, he has been accused of taking $5 worth of copper wiring from the home of Jennifer Convery, of 2709 Johnny Baker Road, Willow Spring.


Unsuprisingly, he had an extensive criminal history.

He was lucky. He could have ended up like this guy in South Carolina.

A man was killed trying to steal copper from a Duke Energy substation Monday, and thousands in Spartanburg County were left without power overnight, according to firefighters at the scene.

My sympathy is rather limited. What kind of idiot tries to steal live electrical wires from a power substation? Not one that wants to live long, that’s for sure.
