I have a simple rule. If someone needs killing, I’ll do it myself rather than try to contract it out. You see, self-defense is legal, planned murder is totally illegal. There is no situation where contracting someone else to murder someone can be thought of as decent moral behavior.
Maybe someone should have pointed out this simple fact to the suspect. If a person attacks you, you’re within your rights to defend yourself. If you hunt the guy down, or worse, hire someone else to hunt him down, you’re going to have a lot of trouble explaining yourself to the police.
Strange as it may seem, the suspect has a prior brush with the law, and a pretty serious one at that. Then again, the intended victim has a fairly lengthy list of criminal convictions. I guess we’ll have to wait and see why the suspect thought that it was appropriate behavior to solicit murder.

Don’t be more of an ass than me. Your words, though they are on my blog, are your own. I didn’t write them. If they are stupid, ill considered, or bigoted, it’s your problem.
Criminal threats will be reported to the appropriate authorities for the appropriate action.
