Four caught in string of burglaries in Durham

How many problems can four people cause?

Four men face charges in connection with more than 30 burglaries in northern and eastern Durham over the past six months, police said Friday.

Luckily for us, police got a call that led to the arrest

A 911 call about suspicious activity helped identify the suspects, police said. U.S. marshals arrested them on July 12, and the subsequent investigation linked them to the string of burglaries, police said.

So who was responsible for all the burglaries?

Every one of them a prior criminal.

(Suspect 1) was also charged with violating his probation for 2010 convictions on four counts of breaking-and-entering and two counts of larceny after breaking-and-entering, according to state Department of Correction records.

He has seven addition convictions, including assault on a female, assault by pointing a gun and misdemeanor breaking-and-entering. He's served one five-month jail sentence.

(Suspect 2) is also on probation for March convictions for possession with intent to sell, felony breaking and entering, conspiracy and a drug offense, DOC records state.

(Suspect 4) has served probation for a shoplifting conviction, and (Suspect 3) for four convictions, including carrying a concealed weapon, drug dealing and trespassing, records show.

Not a surprise.
